Desserts in secret
Secret meeting today with possibly exciting outcome! Can’t give anything away really except that the desserts were quite spectacular. More details to come.

Today is the day folks! The day I’ve been waiting for. Today is the day when my album KILL THE CLOWNS is finally released. All these hills and hurdles. Overrun. Overcome. And I stand here with eleven songs that I stand behind like they were my children. Here’s some inside info on the songs on the album:
1. Black Hole is about women that cling to men like leaches.
2. Over Now is about a relationship that ended when I realised that without all the glitter and acting perfect it was quite empty.
3. Dance in circles is casual sex among friends to ease the boredom of every day single life.
4. Running in circles was written to a friend who was struggling with his confidence due to evil words of psycho girlfriend.
5. Call my name is for my brother.
6. Until we meet again is about a woman who finds her man in bed with another woman and her immediate thoughts of vengeance.
7. On The Run is about the voices telling women not to go out after dark, about reclaming the night, about not being afraid.
8. In Lost to the Sea you can find the title of the album. It’s about forgetting why you’re on stage, the feeling that you’ve become just a clown: Happy face, sad inside. And killing that clown to find your true self.
9. As good as it gets was written in late October when the leafs were falling and every day was a rainy gray mess. I found myself asking: Is this as good as it gets?
10. Make it work is inspired by the lovely Mr Tim Gunn. You take what you get and make it work. Relationships are never perfect.
11. What I’ve become is about becoming needy and not liking it.
So there you have it. Now go out and listen! Love //Edith

The sun has been crashing in over Stockholm today, making it impossible to stay inside. Instead of cleaning my apartment I’ve been sitting on the dock of the bay enjoying some nasi goreng chopstick-style with those lovely chinese shrimp chips. My amazingly talented friend Erik Althoff from soon-to-be-huge rock band The Fix turned 30 (is still turning) and I had a good five minutes to pay my respects before he had to leave. He is now an older gentleman and as I will soon be joining him in the 30-box the questions where vivid and many. He seemed fine however.
Am now organizing stacks of paper. All these old song lyrics that I thought I saved for a reason. Paid bills and notes-to-self. Good bye and good riddance.
Imagine, in just one month the sun won’t set until midnight. That’s the best part about this country in the north. What keeps me going when the winter is cold and the people are mean. What inspired me to write the chorus lyric to “Sincerely Hope It’s You” from my 2008 album “Death By Honey”.
“I will wait ‘til it’s over, gone until summer comes and when I wake - sincerely hope it’s you, sincerely hope it’s you”.

With that I leave you for now. //Edith

It’s time for my big premiere at Debaser Slussen DBF. Oh the nerves are shaking and rattling inside. But I’ll be fine. I’ll survive. And it will all be okay.
Heya
Tonight I’m singing live for the first time since my surgery. 3 acoustic songs at Nada in Stockholm. Should be fun but also quite terrifying. The what-ifs are piling up. I rehearsed with my band yesterday for several hours though and it went well so I know that I will be fine.
There’s a lot going on right now and I love it: Singlerelease on Monday, Releasetour on Wednesday-Saturday, Videoshoot on May 16-May 17, Turning 30 (!) on May 18 and release of “Kill The Clowns” on May 23.
Spring is in the air (or is it?) and I have bought a brand new pair of vintage shorts which I’m not afraid to wear even though it’s fucking freezing outside.
See you in da club with some Bud’s (who the hell came up with that rhyme needs to stop writing music lyrics NOW).
Peace & Love /Edith
